Art Rock Show – Väistyy Mielen Yö (Week 06)

Viima is een vijfkoppige symfonische folk-prog groep uit Turku, Finland. De groep heeft drie albums uitgebracht, maar er zit 15 jaar tussen de huidige plaat en de vorige, Kahden Kuun Sirpit uit 2009.

Het album “Väistyy Mielen Yö” (De Nacht van de Geest maakt plaats) begint met Tyttö Trapetsilla, Een lekker energiek nummer dat herinneringen aan Jethro Tull oproept. Forse Le Lucciole Non Si Amano Più is het eerste album van de Italiaanse progressieve rockband Locanda delle Fate en werd uitgebracht in 1977. Het album slaagde er in om een eervolle nummer 25 te bereiken in de wekelijkse hitlijst van “TV Sorrisi e Canzoni” en werd door critici geprezen als een van de betere werken van de romantische Italiaanse progressieve rock.
