Art Rock Show – Prehistoric Animals – Finding Love In Strange Places (Week 33)

Het Zweedse kwartet Prehistoric Animals biedt een consistente stroom aan van aansprekende nummers. Het niveau ligt constant erg hoog, wat niet altijd vanzelfsprekend is. De hele look en feel verwijst naar een science fiction concept. Dit is gebaseerd op, respectievelijk verbonden met, actuele kwesties in onze maatschappij natuurlijk.

Jacco Stijkel van Prog Wereld: “Ik ben daarom verheugd om te melden dat PreHistoric Animals aan de ene kant hun sound hebben behouden, maar aan de andere kant hieraan een nieuwe dimensie hebben toegevoegd. En wat nog belangrijker is: de muziek klinkt weer fris en urgent. Progressieve rock, progressieve pop, jaren 80-invloeden en elektronica worden verder geïntegreerd in het geluid van PreHistoric Animals.
