Art Rock Show – Beyond the Veil (Week 4)

iNFiNiEN is een rockband uit Philadelphia (VS). Met rock, jazz, soul, world en klassieke invloeden speelt het kwartet ingewikkeld gecomponeerde nummers met een focus op improvisatie. Verre van de typische rockgroep verkennen ze nieuwe klankgebieden door gebruik te maken van exotische toonladders, akkoorden en ritmes.

Rock On! Wednesday, January 25, 2023 – Patto, Family, Atomic Rooster, Man, Cressida & Curved Air

Psychedelic, heavy, prog and more innovating sounds spanning the late 60s and the early 70s – Wednesday January 25th. Dan’s pick of the week: Patto (Hold Your Fire), Family (Bandstand), Atomic Rooster (In Hearing Of), Man (Be Good to Yourself at Least Once a Day), Cressida (Cressida) & Curved Air (Live).

Met drie uitgebrachte albums stond de Britse rockband Patto hoog aangeschreven in de Britse rockscene tijdens de jaren zeventig. Patto bracht een mooie mix van jazzrock met een vleugje blues.

Prog Archives review: “Hold Your Fire, Patto’s second album is not a radical departure from the style of the first one but it does have a bit more finesse and not such a bare exposing warts and all production. Art Rock Show – The Indifferent Stars (Week 3)

Haven of Echoes wordt gevormd door de multi-instrumentalist Andreas Hack, van de Duitse progressieve rockgroep Frequency Drift met zanger Paul Sadler, voorheen van de Britse prog-death groep Spires.

Jacco Stijkel van Prog Wereld: “Het lijkt er overigens op dat Haven Of Echoes een soort van voortzetting is van Frequency Drift. In de begeleidende biografie wordt namelijk ervan gesproken dat Frequency Drift de voormalige band is van Andreas Hack. Twee andere leden van deze band geven namelijk ook acte de presence bij Haven Of Echoes. Wolfgang Ostermann staat garant voor de drums en harpiste/toetseniste Nerissa Schwarz speelt mee op twee nummers. De song Endtime is bovendien van haar hand.

Art Rock Show – Conundrum (Week 2)

Sinds 2006 heeft Verbal Delirium constant gespeeld op podia in Griekenland en Europa en 3 albums uitgebracht met erg positieve kritieken. De band is klaar met het opnemen en produceren van zijn vierde album met de titel “Conundrum”. De plaat kwam eind 2022 uit.
