Art Rock Show – Anubis – The Unforgivable (Week 51)

Het Australische Progressieve Rock sextet Anubis werd in maart 2004 in Sydney gevormd door zanger/bassist Robert James Moulding en toetsenist/gitarist David Eaton. Later kwamen daar Douglas Skene (gitaren, ook van Hemina), Dean Bennison (gitaren), Steven Eaton (drums) en Nick Antoinette (bas) bij.

Fred Nieuwesteeg van Prog Wereld: “De Australische band Anubis is aan zijn zevende studioalbum toe. “The Unforgivable” belooft een muzikale reis te worden, bestaande uit één epische track, verdeeld in tien parts. De 45 minuten vullen ook precies twee lp-kanten. De band grijpt terug op verhalende albums uit hun begintijd. Een jongeman komt in een religieuze sekte in het Amerikaanse Midwesten terecht.
