Art Rock Show – Through Shaded Woods (Week 52)

Lunatic Soul is het solo muziekproject van Riverside zanger en bassist Mariusz Duda. De band werd in 2008 opgericht om Duda in de mogelijkheid te stellen om andere muzikale gebieden te verkennen. Rik van den Heuvel van Prog Wereld: “Hoewel het geluid met ieder album groeit en vervormd, wordt ieder album gekenmerkt door warme, emotionele maar beklemmende zang, muziek en teksten die je naar je strot grijpen en dat alles verpakt in een duister, intens esoterisch geheel. De eerste drie albums kaartten thema’s aan als de overgang tussen leven en dood, en met de laatste twee albums leek Mariusz te proberen het verlies van goede vriend en Riverside gitarist Piotr Grudzinski te verwerken. Met zijn nieuwste kunstwerk probeert hij al deze duisternis achter zich te laten, want hoewel “Through Shaded Woods” niet volledig ontdaan is van de duisternis en emotie kunnen we stellen dat dit de meest levenslustige, positieve en dansbare verzameling nummers is die Lunatic Soul uit heeft gebracht.… Read more...
