Ayers Rock was een Australische progrock band die in de jaren 1970 een zeker succes had in de Verenigde Staten.  Hun debuut Big Red Rock flirt met jazz fusion, funk en blues shrink verpakt in een Frank Zappa achtige gevoeligheid.
Prog Archives review: “Australian band’s Ayers Rock debut album was recorded live, but the sound quality is excellent! As it often happens with marginal prog markets, even if this album was recorded in 1974, it sounds more as US band from 1969-70.

Art Rock Show – Salighet (Week 51)

Jordsjø is een duo uit Oslo, Noorwegen, geïnspireerd door Scandinavische folklore via jazz naar vroege Britse prog. In de traditie van sommige van de beste Scandinavische rock uit de vorige eeuw, slaagt Jordsjø erin om progressieve rock te versmelten met fantastische melodieën en een folkloristische twist. Salighet is het vierde studioalbum van de band.

Maarten Goossensen van Prog Wereld: “Salighet“. Spreek het maar eens hardop uit, met de klemtoon op “Sa” en je weet wat het betekent: Zaligheid. Een woord dat we niet dagelijks zullen gebruiken, maar wat perfect van toepassing is op dit album, want met dit werkje word je 42 minuten pure zaligheid voorgeschoteld.
