Art Rock Show / Ritual – The Story of Mr. Bogd, part 1 (Week 4)

Ritual werd in 1992 opgericht in Stockholm, Zweden, door drummer Johan Nordgren, bassist Fredrik Lindqvist, gitarist-zanger Patrik Lundström en toetsenist Jon Gamble. Zowel beïnvloed door de progressieve rock uit de jaren ’70 als door hedendaagse bands als The Police, XTC en It Bites, smeedde Ritual hun eigen kenmerkende progressieve muziek.

Zachary Nathanson van Echos and Dust: “Formed in 1993 in their hometown in Stockholm, Sweden, the quartet has this folk-proggy like complex with its melodic arrangement. They are a band that have their own influences between not just the prog-rock genre in which they pay nod to, but elements of the hard rock category which comes in handy.
