My Generation brings you all the revolutionary sounds and voices of the sixties.
In true sixties style: the many types of sixties music, mixed with a wide range of Word such as poetry, speeches, interviews, street noise, and so on.
Listen to all the original sounds and voices, the forerunners and inspirators and everyone who has kept the spirit alive.
Each show features entire LP-sides / selected LP-tracks, b-sides, unreleased tracks, overlooked versions, etc.
Includes ‘Blueside’, pointing out the major influence of blues music on the sounds of the sixties: the sixties blues boom creators, their inspirators and everyone who has kept the true blues flame burning. No snob blends, commercial trends or blues-rock. Strictly pub-sized. True keepers of the blues flame only.

Alle geluiden en alle stemmen uit de jaren zestig. Zoals in de jaren zestig: alle muziektypes van toen, gemengd met een breed assortiment Woord, zoals poëzie, toespraken, interviews, straatgeluiden en noem maar op.
Luister naar de oorspronkelijke stemmen en geluiden, de voorlopers en inpsiratoren en iedereen die de geest van toen levendig houdt.
Elke week volledige LP-kanten / uitgelezen LP-nummers, b-kantjes, onuitgegeven nummers, vergeten versies, enz.
Inclusief ‘Blueside’, dat de invloed van de blues op de jaren zestig illustreert: de artiesten die aan de wieg stonden van de sixties bluesboom, hun inspiratiebronnen en allen die de ware bluesvlam brandend hielden. Onze blues is gesneden op cafémaat. Wij draaien de behoeders van de blues van toen en nu. Wij draaien geen snobistische ‘blends, bluesrock of commercieel gedoe.
2 LONGPLAYTIME
(ENGLISH) (new from Sept. 2017)
The concept of LONGPLAYTIME is simple: we will play full albums, album sides or selected album tracks. This show follows the philosophy of MY GENERATION Radio 68’s goals in general. The stress is on overlooked, forgotten, ignored, misjudged, rare, non-commercial and media-banned music and artists, throwing in a hit album for good measure. All from or related to the sixties – of course! Besides: to play albums is a rare thing in itself nowadays. Langspeeltijd – Longplaytime is a 2-hour show broadcast on Mondays and repeated on Wednesdays. (Started September 2017)
2 LANGSPEELTIJD
(NEDERLANDS)
De idee achter LANGSPEELTIJD is eenvoudig: we draaien volledige albums, LP-kanten of een keuze uit een langspeelplaat. We hebben vooral oog voor muziek en artiesten die vallen onder de categorieën “vergeten, vreemd, geweerd, over het hoofd gezien, verkeerd begrepen, gecensureerd, zeldzaam “. Met nu een dan een dikke hit ertussen. Nieuwe show op maandag (12 tot 24 uur), herhaling op woensdag (12 tot 20 uur).
FORMER SHOWS + CONCISE HISTORY OF THE SHOWS
Our first public broadcast was on 13 February 2012 and total broadcasting time was 24 hours/week for two shows: 1) Dan’s Art Rock & Prog Rock and 2) Ed’s My Generation, including Sixties Rave, The Rolling Stones Circus and Free Speech / De Gedachten zijn Vrij, incl. poetry.
On 2 January 2013, Radio 68 started to broadcast seven days a week, doubling its schedule to 48 hours. Eventually, The Rolling Stones Circus was dropped.
In November 2013, the two-weekly Dutch poetry show “Dichters in de lucht” was added (but still under the heading “Free Speech / De Gedachten zijn Vrij”) .
On 15 January 2014, “Free Speech / De Gedachten zijn”‘ became a separate show broadcast on Wednesdays under the title “Woord op Woensdag / Word on Wednesday”.
On 8 January 2015, Radio 68 underwent a make-over: a new look, improved technical features, more permanent information on the website and an extra 24 broadcasting hours, now totalling 72 hours/week. The shows were diversified, re-arranged and rescheduled to four shows: Art Rock & Prog Rock by Dan; My Generation (including ‘Blueside’), Free Speech / De Gedachten zijn Vrij, and Dichters in de Lucht, by Ed.
In September 2017, both “Dichters in de Lucht” and “Free Speech / De Gedachten zijn Vrij” stopped. Instead, Ed launched “Langspeeltijd – Longplaytime” on Mondays and Wednesdays. From that date onwards, both My Generation (incl. Blueside) and “Langspeeltijd – Longplaytime” include Word, Poetry and Free Speech. Radio 68 now boradcasts three shows (see above), totalling 72 hours/week.
On 1st January 2020, 24 hours were added to the schedule, totalling 96 hours/week.
